An easy module that let's you take control of pages that need age verification or custom opt-in's.

This module has many custom features that allow you to control both the messaging and design of your gated page. Use it to gate as many HubSpot pages as you like, each with their own unique custom cookie.

Custom Cookie

Create a unique Cookie name to gate different pages on your website with different access or use the same cookie name to grant access to multiple pages.

Full page blocking

The module overlays and shrouds your content on the initial opt-in message and is only slightly visible. If they do not opt-in, the denial page completely blacks out page to restrict content.

Flexible Content Settings

Customize the Message Text, Button Text for Approval and Denial, as well as the denial page messaging.

Set Cookie Expiration Date

Set a custom expiration date (in days) for each cookie before a user has to opt-in again! No coding required!

Flexible Design Colors

Choose custom button colors, overlay colors, and the content box background color.

How It Works

The cookie is placed in the user's web browser when they click the opt-in button. You can verify this cookie on your own computer by opting in on our demo page and then searching for "beginbound.hs-sites.com" to see the cookie data stored in your browser settings.

What is a cookie?
Cookies are usually small text files, given ID tags that are stored on your computer's browser directory or program data subfolders. Cookies are created when you use your browser to visit a website that uses cookies to keep track of your movements within the site, help you resume where you left off, remember your registered login, theme selection, preferences, and other customization functions. The website stores a corresponding file(with same ID tag)to the one they set in your browser and in this file they can track and keep information on your movements within the site and any information you may have voluntarily given while visiting the website, such as email address.

We use this simple technology so you can create a custom opt-in that is marked on the user's browser to use your content. It is unique to your website.
Does this integrate with the CRM or my other software?
No, this does not show up in your contact's record on HubSpot. The cookie is both separate and custom, but it will be recorded as coming from your domain and will be verifiable on the user's browser every time they visit the webpage until the cookie time expires and they need to opt-in again.
Can I add more than one module to a page?
Technically, yes, but we strongly recommend only using one gate module per page as a UX best practice. This module is only built to gate one page at a time, because that is standard. There should be no use case to have this module on your page twice. The double opt-in of this nature could also be a very confusing experience and not work as intended.
Can I use a custom background overlay for the gate?
Yes, but you can only set one color per page.

Can I use the module on more than one portal?
No. You must purchase a new module for EACH portal you use it on. This is just the standard requirement of all modules on the HubSpot Marketplace. Attempts to transfer or copy code are tracked within the system and any offending HubSpot portal could be suspended or shut down as a result.
